3 Places to Cross Country Ski in Park City

Round valley

If you got your own gear and you’re in Park City, the Round Valley trail network is an exceptional spot to hit some great nordic track, whether it’s classic or skate skiing. This area is managed by the mountain trails organization and operates strictly off of charitable donations, making this a gem for Park City as it is free for use. This is also a great network to bring your dogs to tag along! There are some great loops, whether you are a beginner or advanced there is something for everyone. Not into Nordic? That’s totally cool as you can also fat bike and snowshoe this area. Keep your eyes peeled as there are a bunch of moose families and elk that live in the area and you might just got lucky and see one!

Soldier hollow

If you want to ski like an Olympian, this is the place to do it! Soldier Hollow is a part of Olympic Park and they have rentals and programs for adults and children right on site, including biathlon!  They even have a yurt that you can rent for an overnight with a group of friends. They do offer some phenomenal grooming, and have the ability to blow snow where needed; the lodge is a great spot to grab a snack and look out into the valley or watch ongoing skiers practice their skills, the US Nordic Olympic team does practice here and it’s pretty fun to watch.
